Honestly, while longevity was spoken about even before, it was never as important. Back in the day, it was always, "When he was at his peak, how good was he?" Top players had many bad games, bad cup finals even. Now, almost everything is hyper-analysed into boredom.

We found out a very hard way that one of our sons has type 1 diabetes. Unfortunately we found out by being at a hot park and giving him sugar. 😔 His blood sugar count was so high it didn’t register in the nurses monitors. He was over 900 when at the hospital. Lucky we didn’t experience anything severe from the spike. He’s good now, and a tougher dude than I am.

I have to take a second to shout out the staff we interacted with at @WaltDisneyWorld this past week. From the nurses who literally saved our son’s life, to the cast members who worked to accommodate us and make sure we were okay. They all went above and beyond during a traumatic experience. Forever grateful to everyone who we interacted with during the experience. Same to the teams at @AdventHealth, top notch.
