I gather the Tories in Harborough demonstrated their lack of interest in green issues by voting down the funding to progress HDC's rewilding/wildlife park. Nice, in the most nature depleted part of the County.

Last night, even with efforts from the Conservatives to change it, we delivered on our commitment and reduced our share of council tax by 5%. We’re proud to keep our promise to residents.

Week-in, week-out, up and down the country, Liberal Democrats are winning in real elections. We've gained seats from Reform UK, the Conservatives, Labour and the SNP. And we've won in Keir Starmer's and Mel Stride's backyards. Liberal Democrats are the only party taking the fight to Reform UK.

If Keir Starmer thinks a reshuffle will solve anything he is learning the wrong lessons from the calamity Conservatives. He needs to grab the bull by the horns and confront the real issues, not just move people around the cabinet table.

The Liberal Democrats will continue to fight for the change people are crying out for, from easing the cost of living to protecting the NHS to rebuilding Britain’s influence abroad.
