A regular reminder that if you're looking a faster, more secure alternative to Wordpress, then @hardypress is a great option. It generates a fast static site from Wordpress, then shuts down Wordpress so it can't get hacked. I'm not affiliated, just a happy customer.

@shakeofabiomen Yes, it is OK as long as you use WooCommerce for creating products showcase and catalogs Unfortunately the “cart” and the “checkout” features can not work on a static site, but you can certainly build an e-commerce upon a static website using Ecwid, Shopify or Snipcart

@elforesto @whyisjake @gabegundy Perhaps look at @HardyPress. Exports a WP site as static HTML. WP only runs when you are logged in on an obfuscated URL. Has built in form capture functionality if you deploy on their CDN. So far it's been pretty solid for us on a couple websites for a cyber security client.
