What is the point of auditing if end of the day these extreme use cases are never really tested.

Here's everything you need to know about the Balancer Hack: 1. The attack targeted Balancer's V2 vaults and liquidity pools, exploiting a vulnerability in smart contract interactions. Preliminary analysis from on-chain investigators points to a maliciously deployed contract that manipulated Vault calls during pool initialization. 2. Improper authorization and callback handling allowed the attacker to bypass safeguards. This enabled unauthorized swaps or balance manipulations across interconnected pools, draining assets in rapid succession (within minutes). 3. The exploiter initiated a series of transactions starting with a key Ethereum mainnet tx (0xd155207261712c35fa3d472ed1e51bfcd816e616dd4f517fa5959836f5b48569), which funneled assets to a new wallet under their control. Funds were then consolidated, likely for laundering via mixers or bridges. 4. Balancer's composable design where pools interact heavily amplified the flaw. Similar issues have plagued AMMs before, often tied to how they handle deflationary tokens or pool rebalancing. Full forensic details are still emerging, with auditors like PeckShield and Nansen involved. No evidence of a private key compromise; this was a pure smart contract exploit. Here's roughly the stolen assets: >Ethereum: ~$70M+ drained (main hit) >Base & Sonic: ~$7M combined >Other chains: ~$2M+ >Main stolen assets: WETH, wstETH, osETH, frxETH, rsETH, rETH — roughly $110–116M total. Here's what you should do If you're exposed: 1/ Withdraw Immediately: Pull funds from Balancer V2 pools if possibleavoid affected ones. 2/ Revoke Approvals: Use Revoke, DeBank, or Etherscan to cancel smart contract permissions for Balancer addresses. 3/ Monitor Wallets: Track via Etherscan or Dune Analytics for suspicious activity. 4/Stay Informed: Follow lookonchain, PeckShieldAlert, and Balancer for updates.

It is disheartening to see how much of a libelous fraud @rajatsoni is. It is a shame that he chose to abuse the platform generously provided to him by @MrMPodcast to debate @KaspaSilver, deliberately misrepresenting my positions and opinions to defame me and undermine me professionally. Let me explain the situation in detail. In the last few weeks, Rajat had some valid concerns about Kaspa's pruning and trust model. It's very reasonable that he had, as Kaspa breaks the mold in ways which can be counter-intuitive for people too set in their ways, and requires untangling a lot of subtleties. Given that I am one of the people who designed Kaspa's pruning protocol and hold it very dear to my heart, I decided to peek out of the bunker and create a thread for Rajat and me to discuss this publicly, hoping that we could have some quality, in-depth discourse. Instead, Rajat rejected the offer. Why? Because he found an old thread I wrote in August 2023. In that >1000 words long post (that only exhibits my position about the matter very partially), he isolated a single sentence where I said that one of the motivations for full ledger data is "aesthetics". A remark so tangential, so unsubstantial to my position, that I forgot I even made it. So what did Rajat do? He decided that my position is that "Bitcoin stores transaction data for aesthetics" and ran with it. He used it as an excuse to reject my generous offer. At the same time, he kept insisting that my position is that "the reason for keeping transaction data is aesthetics", an extremely absurd position that is a mockery of my profession. I clarified to him that he is latching onto a small and unimportant detail out of a long, elaborate post, (which in itself is only one in a sequence of posts, and even these posts are a bit outdated and superseded by a workshop I gave months later.) I mean, ffs. you can see the "a. " at the start of the sentence. Doesn't anyone wonder what's "b. "? Whether there's a "c. "? (There is.) This is how little he thinks of his audience's intelligence. At this point, I was just like "disappointing, but whatever". But then I watched the newly posted debate and found out, to my dismay, that Rajat doubled down on the boldface lie that my position is that "ledger data is kept for aestetics". At this point, he was already made aware that this statement was misleading. Moreover, he clearly chose to double down on it to portray me as unprofessional so he could dismiss my opinions. That's the definition of defamation. YouTube maxis are terrible. I'm sorry to generalize, but they are. Every single data point shows the same trend, no outliers. Maxis will find excuses to avoid conversations with people who can actually answer them and will deliberately try to position themselves against degens, so they can make a spectacle and outwit them (this time it backfired because Silver came hella prepared, but the point stands). I experienced this with Kreuger, who blocked me because my Medium profile doesn't have many posts, from which he concluded I'm "unprofessional". I experienced this with Kratter, who blocked me for being "disingenuous" because I deleted a comment, even though the comment was never deleted and is still available to this day. (He obviously blocked anyone that tried to point that out) And now I experience this with Rajat, who acts as if I'm beneath him because I said "aesthetics" once. These are not truth seekers. These are entertainers, crowd pleasers, engagement seekers. They will do anything, no matter how depraved, to appear correct. That's how they build their reputation and, eventually, their revenue. They will defame people, even those who extend a hand to them, for financial gain. Their quandaries and interjections have nothing to do with due diligence or scientific curiosity. They are mere bait. You shouldn't reciprocate, and neither should I. I'm upset with myself that I fell into this trap again and let another one of them YTMaxis waste my time. Hopefully, this will be the last time. In conclusion, if Rajat keeps spewing wrong, uninformed takes about Kaspa's trust model and ledger history, just point whoever follows the discussion back to this post, to show them that when faced with the opportunity to get straight answers from the horse's mouth, Rajat chose greed and cowardice over the truth.
