Moneta had a photoshoot and looks majestic, I must say. A book for anyone with an interest in the wonders of Rome, or for history enthusiasts looking for new, tangible ways into the ancient world. No prior knowledge of ancient coins required! Pre-order: linktr.ee/garethharneyco…

Can't wait for next month's publication of Moneta: A History of Ancient Rome in Twelve Coins. Let's take a look at a few of the fascinating ancient coins that will transport us through time in the book, making tangible the epic rise and fall of the Roman world! ⚔️ @vintagebooks

We are hiring a junior in my team. We value passion and mindset above experience for this role so we are very open to those who want to get in to testing. We work remotely but collaborate in our Cirencester, UK office once a month. More details: studee.careersitecloud.com/job-61a2113915…

@ss_korol @FullSnackTester Yes we totally appreciate the learning curve ahead of us. We are doing it alongside a website rebuild so hope this will afford us some time. 🤞🏼

@FullSnackTester @HarneyTester They are very different. The former doesn't require programming language knowledge, the latter does. It’s not a big deal to learn some framework’s API. However, the lack of programming skills will definitely affect the entire automation effort in terms of time and effectiveness.

@HarneyTester I’m learning Playwright right now, after a move from Cypress! I have been watching some videos online and their test IDE is neat. Can’t wait to play with it more. Sadly no tips here; just enthusiasm

After using Selenium IDE for our FE automation since I started as a tester we’re now moving to Playwright. We’re really looking forward to improved functionality and I’m excited to learn something new as this was one of the reasons I career changed. Any Playwright tips for me?

@HarneyTester I am doing a similar selenium migration. Rather than a naked playwright, I chose codecept.io. The learning curve is low because the DSL is pre-built and plugins exist for the business function library.

@mheusser Yes I think so. I’ll add it to our list of discussions on our approach. Thanks!

@HarneyTester build a business function library and an object recognition library. ($LOGIN translates the XPATH for login etc) Tests have no loops or conditionals; they look like commands and parameters. Push loops and conditionals into the libraries. Making sense so far?

@HarneyTester Playwright is a fantastic tool, a few of my favorite reasons why! * VS Code extension * parallelism out of the box * screenshot, video recordings, and Playwright Test Report (if using JS/TS) * multi tab, iFrame, shadow dom support playwrightsolutions.com New content each week!
