Richie McCaw won an average of 1.6 turnovers per game, and that was his job. Antoine Dupont this year has averaged 1.3, and he's a scrumhalf. I think a lot of people don't watch Dupont often enough to realise what a game-defying freak he's become, and he's still getting better.

@EBMgoneWILD @wmasjoshmiller In rural and regional settings (also known as places where you find more snakes…) this is absolutely a real thing. Not to mention the additional distance your patient may live from the ED. Not an issue in metro areas.

If you ever want to know Australian medical practise in a nutshell, here it is. "so --- discharges should only ever occur when they’re safe and well-lit." Nobody gets to go home after dark. Because monsters or something.

@Aidan_Baron @LucindaMith Underlying issues are incredible frustration, compassion fatigue, moral injury. As for anti-patient sentiment, I feel like there has been change of sorts. Frustration increasingly directed at JAS’ for poor use of resources. Big change in the last decade imo. Breach still wrong.

@LucindaMith The underlying issue is complex 1. Government and by extension JAS have no risk appetite 2. Paramedics have poor culture of anti-patient sentiment at the moment which is “cool” 3. Professionalism is not taught and then modelled effectively

Paramedics in australia continue to take photos of the mobile data terminal and post them to social media to complain about the jobs they are sent to. It’s unethical It’s unlawful It needs to stop You aren’t highlighting an important public issue You’re breaching privacy

Sad, because if we could get it together maybe some of them would come back?

Did @RugbyAU take the opportunity to poll a section of this crowd? - How many support AU v NZ? - How many watch or are likely to watch the Rebels? - What key things drew the crowd to the game? - What would make them attend matches? Massive opportunity for valuable information.

@Nelsonhdale Imo the way the breakdown is ref’d these days is a minefield, pilfering = huge penalty risk. Forgoing a true on-ball 7 for some extra size in T.Hooper could be a good option in an Aus side that has struggled to match up physically.

@HuwTindall I think we will improve. Lots of injured players returning. Good signings and retention. Big 5 years ahead for Australian rugby. With that said. I think we will improve to 5th in the world. Our days of being consistently competitive with the big dogs seems very far away.

Loyal and passionate wallaby fan. Will support the team regardless of result and respect what the players do. Lots of fans want to find the positives out of that performance and talk about building to the WC. That’s fine, shows their passion and optimism. But some hard truths 1/6
