Today is sports day and it is wonderful to see the camaraderie amongst the form groups as they compete. Many thanks to Mrs E Wilson and the PE department for organising the day so efficiently!

A Day to Remember at M&S! Our students had the amazing opportunity to visit the @MarksandSpencer Archive — and what a day it was! A heartfelt thank you to the @marksandspencer team for creating such a meaningful, memorable experience. It truly made a difference.

Our HHS jazz band performed superbly and our soloist made us proud in the joint schools numbers at The Combined Schools Charity Concert @royalhallharrogate this weekend. We raised money for the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan centre and Growing Heal! Well done all! #communitymatters

We said goodbye to our Year 11 students today. We are proud of each and every one of them and wish them the very best for their futures. More photos in tomorrows bulletin.

Today we celebrate National Thank a Teacher Day and would like to thank our fabulous team of teachers who work their socks off for the benefit of our HHS students each and every day.

Last night we welcomed transition students and their parents to an information evening. Thanks you to our student leaders Archie, Ella, Susannah and Isabella for presenting speeches to give students an insight in life at HHS and to Jasmine for playing her cello so beautifully.

Parents and Carers, Date for your diaries... Wellbeing in Mind Team have a session organised at Harrogate High for parents. The theme this month is to discuss supporting your child with their worries. #wellbeinginmind

We are pleased to share the books selected for this half term’s DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) program: Unbelievable by Jessica Ennis-Hill and The Extra Mile by Kevin Sinfield Both titles highlight the remarkable achievements of two Yorkshire sporting heroes. #Yorkshire

Reminder Year 10 students: If you would like to develop leadership skills, represent and support your peers, and positively contribute to our school community, don't forget that applications for Head Student and Prefect positions close in the morning (2nd June) at 8am.

Mr Gill had the honour of attending a Garden Party for Education & Skills at Buckingham Palace along with other educationalists who work hard every day in their settings. "I feel privileged to serve the HHS community & was delighted to have been invited to attend this event."

A well done message from Miss Addy In Year 7, students are introduced to the textile technique of appliqué as part of their dt or art curriculum. The group behaves outstandingly representing all of our core values, they are the definition of respect & aspiration!

Mr Gill was delighted to present three students with their City and Guilds certificates today. Well done to Harvey, Bradley and Braydn.
