Those of us demanding a ceasefire for months warned of the dangers of such an escalation. Our Government ignored those warnings, greenlighted Israel's genocide, and then failed to condemn Israel's attack on the Iranian Embassy.

Sunak is now preparing for the UK to join a US led military operation in the Yemen without recourse to parliament. It is a further dangerous extension of war in the Middle East. An act of imperialist aggression and as socialists and trade unionists we say not in our name.

No Harrow councillors turned up to support constituents at the Harrow event. Nor did assembly member @KrupeshHirani or @PrimeshPatel or @GarethThomasMP who will soon be knocking on your door asking for your votes. We need politicians brave enough to stand up for what is right.

Why is it so difficult for Harrow’s politicians to call for an end to the killing in Gaza. How many more children must die? Politicians are supposed to represent the whole community. Yet they turn a blind eye to genocide.

@harrowonline thank you for your piece on the Harrow Ceasefire march yesterday. Can you correct your article as there is a serious omission which is misleading. The march was to Gareth Thomas MPs office, not North Harrow, specifically calling on Thomas to support a ceasefire.

It is ridiculous that our MP and councillors claim to be knocking on doors to hear from residents. When 400 residents were waiting to be heard at the Labour Party Office. It reveals just how out of touch they are. They only have councillors and staff canvassing, no residents.
