Double editing success tonight! First I passed 100 (book-sized) pages, and then a few chapters later, hit one third of my word count😀

My plan for this year was three short story submissions, and I’m already at four😀 I did just got my second rejection, which is a little sad, but I don’t mind. Short stories are always a nice thing to do between work on my novel. A chance to try something a little different…

I put a lot of brain power into getting some imagery in chapter 8 just right last night...then realised today that I was meant to change that whole section around, so it's now obsolete😢

Now my anthology entries are submitted, it's time for my third (and hopefully final) round of horror novel edits. Let me see - how can I better describe the horrid things I've been doing to my characters...

Just submitted a flash and short story to a heck of a hopeful anthology. I've been published with the two fantastic folks running it twice before, but I'm not confident lightning will strike a third time. I really enjoyed the theme, and if it's not to be, it's not to be..

We had to replace our car, and ended up with a small second hand SUV, which kind of makes me feel more prepared for when the zombie apocalypse finally comes…🧟‍♂️

@CrumpHansted It’s really good how you do that Nikki. I tend to see them in my head, and act out each chapter like I’m watching telly. I do t think I could ever find the right pics to go with them

@HarrowellAndrew So you see how images can help improve your writing? I hope this helps you as much as it has helped me.
