The Ukrainains packed some of their drones sent to Moscow, with Ball Bearings to kill and maim as many civillians as possible. Think about that. The intention was to murder ordinary people, Women and kids, in their beds.

@atensnut There are a lot of dependencies. If there is time back up through the emerg generators can be activated providing power, failing that emergency steering directly at the steering gear. If ships underway and making way in tight quarters..its difficult to regain control in time

@jimmycarr Welcome eto teh rock..the accents here are a result of hundreds of years of isolation. The Irish accent of SE Ireland, the West country accent of Dorset, Throw in some Scottish and French. Accents here vary by region of the island

@drlorileeoates I have, and I do. And I feel pretty strongly about the ode. Its both our right ( hard won) to have opposing views on this. Which I would think would be the point of a discussion. Branding people as out of touch is too easy and that's true of both sides.

@drlorileeoates Think its a little more than a hissy fit. People place great attachment to history. It comes with both good and bad elements. But the arguing over what "right" often end up subjective, like this debate. Studying or marking/remembering is how history remains with us.

@kristinaennis Correct. In very very few place in the world can you get that close to a commercial working harbor as you can in St. John's.

Stop comparing St. John’s harbour to Halifax harbour. For context please see attached screenshots with the same amount of zoom. All St. John’s would practically fit in the harbour in Halifax for god sakes. Give it uppppp. It’s not comparable.
