⚽️⚖️ 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝟭𝟭𝟱+ 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 Keep getting asked what I think the likely outcome of the hearing will be. So here is my take on: -What will happen; -What won’t happen; -What could happen; and -What I think will happen. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 The vast majority (>80%) of the “charges” will be proven by the PL, including the most serious ones around subversion of FFP and misreporting financials. Man City will receive a very serious sanction. Relegation is the absolute minimum. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 UKG will not interfere with the process or the outcome. No “body of irrefutable proof” will be presented. If City had this, then: i) It would have been used at CAS; and ii) It would have been provided to the PL instead of fighting through the English Courts for years to prevent the release of documents (which has resulted in more, very serious charges) 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 How the PL’s complaint will be proved is TBC. This is because it is dependent on how Man City responds throughout the hearing. It’s widely believed that Man City will make a strong defence but I don’t think they can do this - the key witnesses will stay home to avoid admitting liability or prejuring themselves. So the possibilities are: i) Make a poor defence on liability and focus arguments against the severity of sanctions. ii) Try to cut a deal after 5 November (the date on which third parties cannot initiate their own civil action against Man City). iii) Have fall guys admit the breaches (after 5 November) but claim it was all done independently of Mansour (to protect the UAE’s reputation). I don’t know which of these 3 possibilities will happen, but it will most certainly be one of them. The evidence is simply too overwhelming for any other outcome. David Pannick could successfully argue against the application of the most severe sanctions by analysing sporting impact (similar to how Man City defended itself against Uefa in 2014). The PL could mess up their arguments for severe sanctions if they only focus on sporting impact and fail to make arguments regarding the criticality of ensuring all PL participants act in good faith. Hopefully they do not and make effective arguments on both. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 Charges in every category will be proven. More than 90% total. (I think a few on remuneration reporting and failure to co-operate could be a stretch - the rest are a slam dunk). Man City will either be: i) Permanently expelled from the PL until the ownership changes; or ii) Relegated (likely with a 100+ points deduction) and banned from returning to the PL temporarily (3+ years) with readmission contingent upon the prohibition of APTs and stricter monitoring of FMV on all deals. A huge fine and title stripping too will be applied too. Man City will seek to establish a narrative that they have been discriminated against and continue to assert their innocence rather than accept reality.

On this day in 2013: Mesut Özil provided an assist for Olivier Giroud just 11 MINUTES into his Arsenal debut, while Aaron Ramsey netted a brace in a 3-1 win away to Sunderland. 🪄

Hello, I have a fantastic Saturday morning read for you. In fact, you'll be engrossed in this the whole day. As promised, we have published our disruptive project - the unique public-health project funded by @paraschopra to analyze common/well-known protein supplements sold in India. Citizens protein project: A self-funded, transparent, and concerning report on analysis of popular protein supplements sold in the Indian market @theliverdoc @paraschopra @arifhussaintm Full paper: journals.lww.com/md-journal/ful… Popular 36 brands in all. Here is an interesting fact: You will see that we have published the paper in a general medicine open access journal instead of a high impact nutrition/ sports journal. Well, we did submit this paper to multiple sports/ nutrition journals and not surprisingly, it was rejected from all of those - I wondered why and then found the answer. Many members of the editorial board, including editot-in-chief of those journals were "advisors," "consultants," or "promoters" of certain protein/supplement brands! Lot of conflict of interests for them to peer-review and publish our paper which openly took names and provided transparent analyses. Peer-review publishing is really broken in a sense. But then journals like Lippincott's Medicine provided a neutral ground for us to publish and also we could afford the additional open access fee indepedent of the full funding. The total cost of funding this project is INR 700,000 ($8400, by Paras)+INR 192,000 ($2300, by Liver Doc Team)=892,000 ($10700) Please see the abstract section. Lot of information snippets are provided there. Also please read the whole study, our detailed finding and its implications. Focus on the supplementary files (which can be downloaded) and given at the end of the manuscript online. Full paper: journals.lww.com/md-journal/ful… Here is a short summary for protein users: ➡️Best whey - One Science & Ultimate Nutrition ➡️Best medium range whey- Nutrabox ➡️Best vegan protein- Origin ➡️Worst whey brand- Big Muscles ➡️Worst plant-based- Amway ➡️Worst brands advertised as best - Protinex/Ensure/B-protin ➡️Worst protein content- B-Protin, Ensure Plus, Bakson's Protein & Vegan by Big Muscles ➡️Brands that need extreme caution- Protein by Elements/Nutrilite by Amway [fungal toxins] ➡️Herbal blended proteins have more contaminants/pesticides than non-herbal **If anyone (or a group) would like to indepedently fund [The Citizens Project] testing on other untested but popular brands, please do contact my group at : abbyphilips[at]theliverinst[dot]in** For a full summary and brands and their coding in the manuscript, you can check this thread: threadreaderapp.com/thread/1629670…

Arsenal had 64% possession against Man City at Emirates. No one said Pep Guardiola parked the bus at Emirates. Twitter was okay with it because it is Pep Guardiola who can change his regular tactics. Arteta must use his same tactics every match. HYPOCRITES.

Should we still be signing players from Chelsea? Look errr, that’s little bit difficult to say. But, overall, you either have it or you Havertz.
