The ugliest and frustrating truth about this whole niche is that audio is ALWAYS the first budget cut because you can't see it on a spreadsheet. It's the last thing blamed because you can't see it on screen either. But your audience feels it. Immediately. Viscerally. Before they've read a headline or heard a word. They won't say "the sound design was weak." They'll say "it felt cheap" or "it didn't land" or "I'm not sure. Something was off." Something was off. You know what "it" was. But here's what I've watched happen more times than I can count: The video ships. It looks great. The team is proud. It gets shared. And then quietly, in a Slack message or a post-mortem call, someone says: "it just didn't land the way we hoped." Nobody says it was the sound. But it was the sound. Not because bad audio ruins a video. Because the right audio is what makes a great video feel like a great brand. And without it, even the best visuals just sit there. The cut that saves €500 in production can cost you the entire emotional impact of a €20,000 launch. The cycle continues because nobody connects the cut to the consequence. Sound design isn't what makes a video expensive. It's what makes it feel worth what you spent.

"we're a solar company. we give estimates via satellite so you can see solar costs from home." not every product is exciting on paper. our work is to find the angle that makes it worth watching. Recent Demo video we made. and by the end it actually makes sense why this product exists and why you'd want it. some of the best work we've done has come from the briefs nobody else wanted to touch.

Back in 2023, while casually scrolling, I came across @blvckledge’s post about retiring his father at just 23. I took a screenshot not just to save it, but to remind myself of what was possible. Today, at 18, I’m proud to say I’ve retired my father.

This is one of the best launch videos I've seen. Motion is absolutely stunning. I love the way the mouse cursor moves like a curve. Details like that are incredibly important in giving your product a unique feel. Soundtrack is absolutely perfect and if you pay attention you'll notice how sound design is so subtle and minimal, yet so effective and loud. It goes perfectly with the music. This is how you do a launch video.
