@HarvardByHeart
you can see right through meโฆ where no one else can @CaptivatinBelle

She couldnโt help but laugh as she shook her head and took the files to see who exactly he needed. โRecords? Give me a few. Dinner? Okay.โ She said as she smiled towards him then began searching for the records

โRight the case.โ She said as she pulled away from him and went back to her desk. โWhat did you need?โ

She looked at him then had him a soft smile. Yes she was still really upset about what transpired, but she knows people always deserve a second chance.

โI swear to god Austin. You have 1 chance.โ She said as she looked at him not being able to hide the seriousness on her tone nor far

At that she tried to hold back her laugh as she raised an eyebrow. โIs that a promise?โ She asked finally laughing a bit

Looking down at their hands together she remain quiet for a moment. Before looking back up at him. โI swear to god Austin, if you make me regret thisโฆ.โ

She wanted to forgive him, she really did. Her heart always felt whole when she was around him, even when they would bicker. But she was hurt, and she didnโt know if she could just forgive him so easily. โI, donโt know Austin.โ

โIf you care about me, you should be able to talk to me Austin.โ She responded as she looked at him โYou should be able to trust meโ

She just watched him as she wasnโt sure what to believe. She knew he had issues when it came to his thoughts and etc, but she couldnโt help but feel hurt. โWhy couldnโt you just talk to me, send me a textโฆ.i wouldโve understoodโ

โDo you have any idea how stupid I felt. Showing up to the coffee shop and waiting. Waiting for an hour for you to never show up. Not even a text.โ She reminded him as she let her eyes on his. โI tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. I called you, texted you, and nothingโ

โScared, unsure?โ She repeated as she kept looking at him, then lowered her voice so only they can hear her. โYou approached me. You made a scene at the bar. You kissed me. You wanted to meet up the next morning. You. Then you just ditched me as if I was just a game to youโ

โIโm not even sure I want to talk to you Austin.โ She admitted as she let her eyes on his, the hurt obvious in her eyes as she tried to hold back. โBut if you wanna talk, you can talk hereโ

โLeft things?โ She asked as she kept her eyes on his, a knot in her chest, one thatโs been there since he stood her up. โWhat? When you admitted to having feelings for me, kissed me, then asked to meet up and never showed up?โ

Keeping her eyes on him, she wasnโt sure what to think. She hadnโt spoken to him in a what felt like months. โAnd what are those motives?โ

Surprised wasnโt the word to describe how Rissa was feeling. โAustin?โ She asked as she reached out for the cup he offered her

Itโs my favorite time of the year. Time for some coffee and my favorite coffee shop.
