Every programmer knows the joy of automating a tedious task that would’ve been faster to just do. Now, when everything is automatable, all the tedium suddenly becomes visible, including most of what you used to do daily. All I see lately is a terrarium to design, so that work can happen. What a shift.

My workflow for saving useful Claude code stuff I find on Twitter: Share the tweet or GitHub link from chrome into Google tasks Next time I'm in claude code, ask it if each one is useful for my setup Usually the answer is no (or some small part of it is), but that scratches the itch that I'm not missing out

This is the "highest alpha" compound engineering thread I have ever read - by a long shot too. It is simply astounding what @intercom is doing. It takes compound engineering to an entirely different level - it's not even about just engineering - it's the entire organization. It is "organizational compounding" through extremely smart orchestration of AI. It's wild, because there is such a spectrum of how companies use AI. Some have no strategy to use it, or just deploy a very restricted co-pilot - and then 10% of their employees use it like a glorified search engine. And then you have this. What do you think will happen to the performance gap between these two types of companies? Also, what do you think foundation lab companies are doing? They are clearly even more all-in on this type of thing, and they have access to better models and better ways to tie this all together. What a wild and exciting time to be going AI-first.

We've been building an internal Claude Code plugin system at Intercom with 13 plugins, 100+ skills, and hooks that turn Claude into a full-stack engineering platform. Lots done, more to do. Here's a thread of some highlights.

Session transcripts sync to S3 (with username SHA256-hashed for privacy). We can analyze how people actually use Claude at scale. On SessionEnd, a hook analyzes the entire session transcript with Claude Haiku looking for improvement opportunities.

This one took me longer than most, I wrote it over 1.5 weeks (though obviously doing a lot more alongside). Claude does a lot of research for me, e.g. it researched and categorized all our skills and helps generate a bunch of examples. I had it do a first pass which helps me structure my thought, but I think I threw out basically all of the copy for it. It does generate all of the images, though I usually have it do multiple takes and I'll choose one. As many have said, writing is an exploratory process that forces you to think and distill ideas. I try and only publish things where I feel like there are genuine insights, which can be tough. My friend @aadilpickle says when writing "You have nothing until you have everything". I think you can tell when you have something and I felt like I didn't have anything until like like a week into the process.

You wouldn't put "iPhone user" on your resume. Putting "computer programmer" is now almost the same. "Software engineer" too.
