@gargipalaskar Man clankers everywhere in the replies. The reason it is almost equivalent is Amazon takes a larger cut on Kindle eBooks than with paperbacks, so publishers mark up the price of the Kindle edition. Making it almost equivalent to buying a paperback. Amazon wins either way.

@SnazzyLabs My question is, does this effectively kill the iPad Air with Magic Keyboard? I notice that they mention this comes with the Magic Keyboard. Does this mean a worse typing experience than the normal MacBook keyboards?

The MacBook Air going back to $1099 shifts the pricing ladder. I think two bad things will happen: (1) the MacBook Air will no longer be the “budget king” and won’t keep seeing sales in the $700s (2) the new MacBook “Neo” will not be as cheap as hoped for. My guess? $799.

@krazyfrog Got it, I think the Mi adapter that comes with the box has a DAC cause it seems to be working fine with my OnePlus 12 currently. Will go home and check if it works with an old Pixel 7A I have. Interestingly I've never bothered to check this before.

@Harvey_Chief You can check with a basic USB-C to 3.5mm analog adapter that does not have a built-in DAC. If you get audio then the phone is doing the processing and outputting the analog audio through the port. Or it would just say it's not supported.

Starting to think this could be because the Pixel phones support no analog audio output through the USB port. PCs don't either, and the adapter works fine there. Other Android devices having analog USB audio could be causing conflicts with the Apple adapter, for some reason.

The Apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter, despite being an excellent product, is famously unusable with Android because it essentially cuts the volume in half on Android devices. But Google seems to have managed to unlock the full hardware volume so it's perfectly usable on the Pixel 10.
