I asked the Harvard Kennedy School why they hired Jake Sullivan, an architect and advocate of Biden’s disastrous Gaza policy that led to the massacre of thousands of Palestinians. Dean Erica Chenoweth’s response: “I don’t have a comment on your question right now.”

The people who clapped at that ridiculous response prove just how too many just accept the most hideous of evil before them because it is an evil that mirrors what’s inside them.

Former US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was criticised by Harvard students for refusing to acknowledge Israel's genocide in Gaza, despite recognition from the UN. Students held banners telling Sullivan that his next stop would be The Hague. After serving as a key advisor to the Joe Biden administration – which has long been accused of acting as an accessory to Israel's war crimes in Palestine – Sullivan was reportedly appointed to the faculty of the Harvard Kennedy School in April.

Ibtehal Abu Saad, a Moroccan Harvard graduate and Microsoft engineer, took to the stage during the company’s 50th anniversary celebration to confront AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman, accusing him and Microsoft of enabling Israel’s genocide in Gaza through Azure services, servers, and military tech contracts. Ibtihal Abu Alsaad after being expelled from the hall: “They might come after me for what I said, but my fear of retaliation doesn’t even compare to my fear of contributing to technologies used to bomb innocent people. To me, my greatest fear is waking up on an ordinary workday only to find out that the code I wrote might have played a part in killing children. That’s the haunting thought that consumed me.”

Harvard looked at Columbia and decided it also wanted to start dismantling its reputation. Harvard’s lucky that U.S. news is so NYC-focused in general - but I don’t doubt they’re about to make themselves the center of this bigger story soon enough.
