🚨 Between Tuesday and Wednesday, London hosted as many as three matches: Arsenal vs Bayer Leverkusen, Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur vs Atlético Madrid.
Naturally, the elite of international football showed up in force in the British metropolis. Sporting directors and agents took their seats in the stands to watch great matches and to network with a view to potential future transfer deals. Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin were also present, in the stands at Stamford Bridge, to enjoy an entertaining match and take a closer look at the players involved—especially those wearing the Blues shirt, where interesting opportunities could arise at the end of the season given the large squad assembled by Liam Rosenior.
Among them was Andrey Santos, a 21-year-old midfielder who started against the French side. Long regarded as a potential star in Brazil, he joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in 2023 for around €13m, and was then loaned first to Nottingham Forest and later to Strasbourg. At the moment, he remains an idea: the player is liked, but it will be necessary to understand how Inter’s midfield evolves, as well as the intentions of both his club and the player himself.
Yesterday as well, Inter’s two sporting directors continued their scouting work, attending the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium between the home side and Atlético Madrid. Eyes were, of course, on Guglielmo Vicario, a favorite for Inter’s goal next season, but also on José Giménez, who will leave the Colchoneros at the end of his contract and would represent one of those classic market opportunities.
Having just turned 31 and boasting enviable international experience, the Uruguayan could fill one of the spots in next season’s defense—provided the ownership gives the green light for a player over 30, as already happened with Manuel Akanji, who will be signed permanently.
