🚨 A new wave of Iraqi PMF militias is pouring into Iran.

1. The IRGC has taken heavy losses from weeks of US and Israeli strikes. It is weakened and stretched thin. Now these same PMF forces entering Iran are also exposed to the same drone and air strikes.
2. The regime fears unrest during the war, even if it has not started. These fighters are meant to suppress protests and control the population.
3. PMF forces are filling gaps the IRGC and army can no longer cover. They guard key areas and support security operations, they lie and say it’s “aid” but arriving armed.
4. These convoys should be targeted before entering Iranian territory, with aircraft like the A-10 designed well for this type of mission.
This shows the regime cannot control or defend the country on its own anymore, and their proxy terrorist forces were always going to go down with it.

Probably would have went better if we told them first. Remember those pictures of kier starmer on the phone the day the strikes kicked off? I know it’s funny to call him a cuck but you can see intense worry and confusion on his face. These countries don’t enjoy the same amount of security and freedom we have, they are radically different, and we should be clever enough to treat them as such to lead the coalition with strength. This argument over NATO does not project the kind of steady hand of leadership Europe is looking for.

The problem is while the Eastern European nations have absolutely pulled their weight relative to the west there is a free rider problem where supporting Poland inherently insulates Spain and Germany.
So if we abandon Europe it will be wholesale.
Despite the good intentions and laudable efforts by the poles and their neighbors.
Again we don’t really care if Russia expands.
We do from a moral standpoint but not from a “communism might spread” standpoint.
Europeans don’t understand this because it’s inconvenient and raises obvious questions as to why the U.S. has been subsidizing their security for the last few decades after the wall fell.

When this is over, the western part of NATO will never be the same. Spain, England, France and Italy have sold us out, as they too often have a history of doing. Eastern European nations are the heart of NATO. They spend money on defense, know how to fight and love the US. France particularly deserves fault and blame. From supporting China and Russia at the UN to denying Americans overflight rights, they’re doing what they’ve always done - showing weakness, while cutting deals with terrorists. (The reason the US has a Marine Corps and Navy is unlike France, we refused to pay a ransom to the Barbary Pirates. France is always happy to cut a deal.) Wars have unintended consequences as nations show their true colors. NATO will never be the same, and Western European weakness and acquiescence is the cause.

The same thought had crossed my mind, but after the schadenfreude wore off I then thought no, too risky, too complex, and at the moment entirely unnecessary. Europe needs to be strong in Europe. I genuinely think thats all they are equipped to do and that’s just reality. Say we do leave, without us they would have no parity with their rivals and their economies would have to fundamentally change, and they would still likely enter a recession for a decade. They would be fractured and vulnerable to probing or god forbid partition. That is what losing America’s nuclear umbrella means. That is just a losing position all around. Let’s admit however that NATO has just been going through the motions, but like zombies, we all arrived here together Now, can we please leave them the f*ck alone and give them some time to put in work? If I have to see France and Britain get humiliated any more I may die from second hand embarrassment

That may be entirely true, so we must be shrewd and clever when dealing with them. Even if you may derisively think of Europe as an economic zone, or want to cut off free loaders like Spain, you could be looking at a dozen potential situations like Cuba, so even if you cut a deal with countries like Poland, Hungary, Germany, and UK, your defense is shot full of potential holes.
Nightmare scenario like Hey the Chinese funded communists in Spain just grabbed power (after trying it once before let’s remember) and now all of our intelligence they hold gets handed over and we have potential commie nukes between use and the rest of whatever Frankenstein’s monster alliance we’ll cook up after we knock over NATO.
