In 1671, notorious thief & conman Thomas Blood stole the Crown Jewels of King Charles II. He was arrested, but the king was so impressed by his ingenuity that he pardoned him. When Blood died, his body was exhumed to ensure he didn't fake his death to avoid taxes. #WyrdWednesday
