@Havi__AllFather you're not wrong, but I don't think it justifies adding hundreds of thousands to the budget just to get one guy in to not only voice act but mo cap a cube, the cost usually gets pushed on the consumer 😩 same thing with copyright licensing

@ZombroVT I thought that was great honestly xD and maybe this is Jack Quaid's step into the game arena of work.
Plenty of legendary actors came into gaming and became great VAs for games.

@Havi__AllFather I believe the reason why people are noticing more was just that image of Jack Quaid in a mocap suit of PCP pipes for his cube character. It was really funny but it just highlighted the "oh they're literally just burning money"

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has called Valve’s AI disclosure policy on Steam “irresponsible,” arguing that forcing developers to label games using AI could unfairly target smaller studios. Sweeney believes AI will soon be a normal part of game development, so requiring developers to label games that use AI “makes no sense.” "I think it's really irresponsible of Valve. They shouldn't do it, because it makes it much, much, much harder for a game developer to have a chance of success. You have to choose from either not using tools that can make you way more productive, and probably failing due to competition that does." He also warned that these labels could make it easier for people to review-bomb games, especially those made by smaller studios.

@ZombroVT Witcher 1 has interesting gameplay, but they realized it was too much outside of the box. A lot of people turn away because of the combat alone.
I enjoy it though, played through W1 like 3 times....or 4.
It grows on you!

@Havi__AllFather and yeah! Witcher games are really good, it's just the style of games like Witcher 1 or Dragon Age origins scratches my brain so good that when we swapped to Witcher 2 and DA: Inquisition it was just incredibly jarring even if the story is fantastic

@Havi__AllFather For me the cube is too silly/cartoony for the general serious tone of most God of war games, also I don't like the trend of hiring A list celebrities for game roles (super expensive, doesn't make the game better). I do not have a problem with the wife having a game though :3 (1)

Played GoW since it arrived on ps2.
Witcher games are fantastic ^^ read the books like 4 times which makes playing the games even better.

@Havi__AllFather Man, I really gotta finish Witcher 2 and 3, I really loved the first game but I just couldn't get into the gameplay of the other ones. For GOW, I'ma wait to see because I have a visceral disgust for the cube 😂

The shift from GTA 5`s cover girl to GTA 6's cover girl probably says more about the direction of gaming culture than most people realize. From a glamorous, feminine bikini model to someone with tattoos, piercings, and a completely different aesthetic. Don't know how I feel about it...
