Sales is actually one of the fastest routes to career rise or wealth, whether through 9-5 or entrepreneurship. I will cite examples. A. 9-5 Sade Lawal (current CEO of one of NNPC subsidiaries) was employed by Oando as an accounting officer in late 1990s or early 2000s. While in finance, he was in same level in finance with someone I knew. After like a year, he crossed to Sales (first as branch manager, later regional manager) and rose to become Chief Sales Officer for the company within a short period, while the person they started together with in finance was still a manager. He later moved to NNPC and rose there too. Similar trajectory for the much younger Rabiu Umar (now Chief Commercial Officer of Dangote Group). Started in finance in Oando, moved to sales and, boom, fast career. Then crossed to Lafarge and later Dangote. B. Entrepreneurship Many of the biggest real estate developers in Lagos started with working in sales & marketing for other real estate companies. Nola Adetola, Lekki/Ikoyi/Ajah lady, CEO of Lagos to mention but a few. Why? For 9-5, they bring money (revenue center), so they are prioritised in promotions. The downside is, they possibly face more pressure. For entrepreneurship, because they are closer to the market, they see opportunities and create network they can use to start off their own business. So, pursue it if you are born for it.

Myles Lewis Skelly is better than Zubimendi. Arteta is unserious.

😢 ❝Up till now, I don't have any recent picture (of my kids). When I ask some new pictures from the mom, she refused to give it to me... They read my message, but they don't answer...❞ Emmanuel Eboue reveals he hasn't seen his children in years.

Earlier today I summoned the Acting South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Thando Dalamba. At the meeting, I conveyed the Government of Ghana’s strong condemnation of the continuous xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians and other Africans living in South Africa. We are urging South African authorities to take decisive action in protecting the human rights and dignity of our nationals and all Africans. Ghana equally expects that the promised investigations be expedited and all perpetrators punished to serve as adequate deterrence. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will communicate other steps we have taken in due course.
