Our outstanding Fine Arts department was on display again today at the Band Concerto Contest. Congratulations to finalists, Rishi and Medha, and first place winner, Raejohn! We're so proud of you! 👏👏👏

Congratulations to our bands who performed last week at the North Texas Festival of Distinction. This contest featured some of the very best bands from across Texas and Oklahoma. We're so proud of the growth and success these musicians and their directors have achieved this year!

Our Band, Choir, and Orchestra directors spent the end of last week at the annual TMEA conference. Excellent educators never stop learning and getting better for kids!

Several of our beginner band and orchestra students had the opportunity visit 5th graders at Furr, Jackson, and Spradley to demonstrate the various instruments. This time next year, some of the students in the audience could be Hawk musicians selected for the same showcase!

It was an honor to celebrate several Veterans this morning. They enjoyed breakfast, performances, and meaningful speeches delivered by NJHS and Student Council reps. We are especially honored to have Veterans Ms. Jagers, Mr. Hertwig, and Mr. Brooks serve our school everyday!

On Friday, members of Bill Hays's family made a surprise visit to our campus! They enjoyed touring our school, meeting several staff members including our Band Directors, and seeing students in action. We're proud to be part of the Hays legacy!
