Officers responded to a family’s call for help during an active mental health crisis. With support from East Bay Regional Parks helicopter, drone operators, and HFD, officers spent over an hour in crisis negotiation, helping the individual safely seek medical care. #HaywardPD

July was a busy month for our Hayward Explorers! While two of our Explorers were attending the ACSO Explorer Academy, another part of the team was competing in the SoCal Law Enforcement Explorer Competition, bringing home 3rd place in Interview & Interrogation. #HaywardPD

Thirty-five students, ages 12–18, spent the week gaining a deeper understanding of law enforcement and public safety. Thank you to all the HPD officers, detectives, dispatchers, HFD, and the ACSO K9 team for taking the time to educate, mentor, and inspire. #HelloHayward
