@Scanl1ne_l0sser A lot of people who are shunned and pushed away from society due to being neurodivergent or disabled in some way often relate to things that are seen as really distant from humans, like Insects, Robots, and Aliens.

@entomemeology I do the same for all the other critters I find like wasps, moths, earwigs, crickets, roaches, millipedes, and the occasional scorpion. I choose whether they go in the garage or the yard depending on how happy I think they'd be in either place.

@entomemeology I carefully put them in a container and relocate them. I don't put them in the yard anymore bc there's frogs out there, so instead I put them in the garage by the big door, that way they can either set up shop and catch anything sneaking in, or choose to leave on their own.

@kadeywadey10 This. Yes. Exactly. I'm a Triple-A battery, and it's SO often that I just do not feel human. It's very comforting to see robots, animals, and monsters that I can relate to because they're the same kind of "wrong" I am. Swordsmachine, V1, and Spearmaster make me feel okay.

Hot take but i actually think making non-human / robot characters nd coded isn’t a bad thing if you aren’t doing it in a “neurodivergent people are weird and alien” way. Sometimes being nd can FEEL like you arent human, like no matter what you do you’re just. Wrong.

Honestly I hate tiktok for thinking v1 is emotionless. Its nonverbal. But its very emotional. Maybe most of the time it fighting is out of desperation for fuel or being attacked first. If v1 had a steady fresh blood supply I dont think itd be so violent. Maybe itd keep bugs

@Oliver1352470 @PythTheSnake Drones likely don't have as complex of emotions due to how simple they are, but that's just what I suspect. And I like to headcanon that Streetcleaners are in a constant state of elevator music. They feel, but it's kinda drowned out by the noise in their heads.

@Oliver1352470 @PythTheSnake I'm pretty sure all machines feel emotion, it's just not as easy to see because they can't express as easily. Enragement, V2's fear, Mindflayers' vanity, Swordsy's irrational hoarding, the Gutterman poem ofc, and most of all the Terminals' boredom.

When you catch it, it genuinely despises you. Even some literal gods and ancient deities have a higher base friendship stat. It rolls up its ears so it is ready to strike at a moment's notice.
