Overrated drama - has high ratings but the quality/acclaim doesnโt match the high ratings.
Overhyped drama - has a lot of buzz and paparazzi that falls short of what actually happens in the drama.

I'm on episode 35 of Splendid Match, so I'm rounding it up tonight. Honestly, I'm pained, but it is what it is. I'll drop my full opinion tomorrow and how it messed up my sleep for two nights. I even declined a dinner offer because of this drama ๐

There's a difference between disagreeing with a preference and disrespecting it. Saying I don't understand the hype isn't the same as saying people can't enjoy the drama. You're free to love it, and I'm free to think it's overrated.

Itโs a drama for entertainment. Having a negative opinion doesnโt mean jealousy. Calling me jealous or saying I invited people to bash it is a reach,I simply shared my view. Not everyone will like the same things, and thatโs normal.

everyone has different tastes. but suddenly posting som with a negative opinion, using an image from a kisf nominee makes it very clear that youโre just jealous. if youโre not jealous, maybe your taste is just bad. donโt invite others to bash, belittle something you donโt like.

Can you name 5 C-dramas where D leads kiss by episode 5? Nobody is asking for instant gratification. My issue is the FL was still acting starstruck around her crush in episode 25 of a 36-episode drama. Being a slow burn doesn't make her character development good storytelling

shine on me really exposed how some people cannot handle slow burn storytelling unless the leads are kissing by episode 5. the whole point was emotional timing, healing, and gradual connection not instant gratification

what i love about nie xiguang is that she knows her worth. she didnโt accept lin yushen easily, she let him chase her properly, she made lin yushen chase her the right way. i love her for that ๐ฌ

I will never understand people hyping this drama, The FL was deeply in love with her crush for so long that it took 29/30 episodes out of a 36-episode drama for her to say yes to the ML. It felt more cringe than romantic.

Understanding the writer's intent doesn't mean I have to think it was well executed. Why was the FL still acting starstruck every time she saw her crush, 25 episodes in?
