@aimeecharnell @RStewart127 @OrthopaedicOz @OrthopodReg How about the question is competency all that is needed? It's the lowest prerequisite. Medical education and exams have settled on this as the bar but are we making a workforce to fit a service or a service driven workforce? I still believe post grad exams have a place.

@RStewart127 @OrthopaedicOz @OrthopodReg Me feeling is that the issue here is competency & how we define this. Is it exams, time, or WBAs? If we can decide what it is, should any clinician who passes be allowed to do the role? Alternatively, do doctors need those assessments to do the role? Are we bound by tradition?

I'm going to look at this another way. Rather than wondering whether ACPs should be in this role, I wonder what this says for post grad exams. Are membership and fellowship exams truly required to define the competent senior in any/certain specialities?

Dear #bbcnews @BBCScotlandNews you got your headline wrong. Should read "government finally copes with female employees" I can not believe this is a headline. How ridiculous.

I’ve carried a Bleep every working day, 40-48 hours a week for the last 14 years. Can anyone tell me what the two buttons do?

Breaking News: The WHO approved the first ever malaria vaccine, which could save tens of thousands of children in sub-Saharan Africa. The quest for this vaccine has been underway for a hundred years, a WHO official said, and is a "historic event." nyti.ms/3oxUgAy

An important point made by @cyclospur - SDEC increasingly seeing patients previously managed by primary care. A new definition is needed - to manage patients who would otherwise have required admission #SAMLondon

Jacob Bayliss challenging us with ‘we have no problem asking us how someone takes their tea - which is different for everyone (there is no ‘one size fits all “good” cup of tea’)… what’s the difference between that and asking someone how they ‘take’ their pronouns? #SAMLondon

@brettgoldstein @AppleTVPlus How to follow episode 5? With this masterpiece. I am in love with the real mental health depiction here that you can collapse to pieces even when "your team is winning." This writing is beautifully human.

Episode 6 of Ted Lasso is out! I had the privilege of writing this one. No spoilers but by the looks of the picture, Beard, Ted, Roy and Nate plan a space mission. @AppleTVPlus #tedlasso
