1DA enjoyed NRich Maths' American Billions game today. They competed against each other, using their knowledge of divisibility rules to block their opponent from extending a number to N digits, divisible by N. Super work, 1DA!

In maths today, 2DB honed their problem solving skills and developed their awareness of square number sequences by tackling 'Betty's stable door problem'. They developed their own notation systems and extended the problem to larger numbers.

1MA and 1DA have been getting stuck into problem solving, using their times table knowledge, powers of deduction and trial and improvement. A great start to their secondary maths - well done to all!

3Y2 have dived into cryptography this week, exploring how maths was used to scramble messages and break codes from the Ancient Greeks to WW2. Today we built our own Enigma machines, and discussed how Enigma was broken by Polish and British intelligence.

Excellent team work today based in a lesson from @mathequalslove. 1DB had some brilliant ideas. Well done
