@TouringCarHub I'd rather have quality over quantity as well, but I'm less convinced we've got it. There are a number of drivers who haven't really capitalised on their opportunities in the last 5 years or so, but they've got the backing to keep their seat. IMO.

@HeadBoltz I wouldn’t be so worried personally. I’d rather have quality over quantity. Collard and Dorlin (both returnees are good drivers). The rest of the field is stacked with quality

@sniffpetrol It's clearly a raised Mk.2 Mondeo saloon so the obvious suggestion is X-Type AWD, but wouldn't '99 be a bit late in development for an early-stage mule?

Test mule Tuesday. What do you think this was used to develop in 1999?

@A1GOY At 42 I went to see a chiropodist a couple of weeks ago. Figured I better start looking after the bits that have been failing for years.

I helped shoot my friend's wedding in February, and in the process did my back in. It was in decent nick until I started doing lots of bending and flexing yesterday while shooting a car. On the cusp of 40 my body's gone 'nah.' Silly ageing.

Really struggling to work out the 4th Hyundai seat. I’ve got Ingram, Chilton and Nic Hamilton. Unless it’s a totally new driver (plausible) the only ‘unaccounted for’ driver is Finn Leslie. But I can’t see that happening personally

I wonder what Sam Tordoff is up to these days… I’d love to see him give it another crack 👀

@TouringCarHub Interesting. Not just a car that's no longer being built, a car that was never sold here in the first place. Really taking advantage of the changes to car eligibility.

@TouringCarHub But if that's so, I'm drawing a blank on what the mooted GT3 element of the deal would be. Unless they're cooking something up the Yangwang. Could they convert that to petrol for GT3? Or would it be the first EV GT3?

@TouringCarHub Continuing this season's trend of building new cars based on models that have been discontinued in the UK (Plato's A35 saloon). If indeed it is a Focus estate, only makes any sense if their impending manufacturer deal is with BYD to run the Seal 6 Touring (terrible car BTW).

@denialvibes Remember when BMW added M Performance addenda to the options list for all its cars? Every leased BMW had the full set, I've always suspected because they were built on spec and BMW needed to clear the stores. As there, here.

@classicmbooks That's been sat on my shelf since it came out, still not read it. Had no idea of the value – interesting to know.

This extraordinarily detailed and fully illustrated study charts the history of Soviet cars from the birth of the Soviet Union in 1917 until its demise in 1990, with a conclusion about the post-Soviet era. buff.ly/r0mp7SG

@sniffpetrol So Farage would require me to leave the place I want to live in to move somewhere I don't, splitting me from partner in the process, just so I sit at a different desk all day?

@LUDENClassics Easily done. Sad state of affairs that I've developed a pretty keen eye for it already...

JUST ARRIVED: A Continental GT that actually starts, drives, has no Kessy faults and doesn’t leave a puddle behind? Suspicious. We’ve written the whole tale — and why this surprisingly decent example is still being dismantled — over on the blog: flyingspares.com/news/homepage-…

@TouringCarHub If Mercedes, it'll be the new CLA. A-Class saloon was dropped earlier this year. There wouldn't be any works backing – Merc's emphasis is heavily on the CLA EV.
