Introducing your 2026 MLK Middle School Lady Tigers Soccer Team! We are so excited for the season ahead and incredibly proud of this amazing group of student-athletes. We cannot wait to watch this group grow together, compete, and create lasting memories this season.

Our Battle of the Books team made of FIVE 6th graders coached by Mr. Galistel fought to quarterfinals. They finished 6th place out of 24 teams that participated! The team consists of the following: Ida Bevill, Lucas Allison, Thalia Bjork-James, Raiyan Amin, and Everly Kraski.

The final countdown is here! One more week filled with celebrations, awards, memories, and fun before summer officially begins! Let’s finish strong, Tigers!

Head Magnet is full of achievements! Congratulations to Landen Davis for being crowned City Champion in the 800m. Congrats to Kamden Lee, Landen Davis, Elliot Jones and Terrance White for being 4x8 MNPS City Champions. They will all compete for a state title!

We are so proud of our MLK Baseball Team for competing in the City Championship during the very first inaugural season of middle school baseball! City Runner-Ups in the first inaugural season of middle school baseball is ONE big accomplishment!

It was a great debut for the first ever Girl's flag football season. Our ladies finished 2nd in the city after a close game against JFK Middle. Great job ladies and thanks to Coach Smith for his leadership!

Head & MLK Spring Choir Concert was truly unforgettable! Our choir delivered a beautiful performance, filling the room with harmony, passion, and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of how they represented our community.

What a wonderful evening at our Spring Band & Strings Concert! A special thank you to our amazing music educators, Mrs. Richardson (Strings) and Mrs. Filipovic (Band), for inspiring and encouraging our students each day. We are so grateful for your dedication and love for music!

At Head Magnet when we take aim, we hit our targets! Our students had a great experience in physical education this week with Coach Cody and learning more about Archery!

Our inaugural Flag Football Season has been rolling, and the energy is already electric! Yesterday, we celebrated with a special luncheon alongside guests from Cumberland University and District Athletics! Our young ladies have been doing a fantastic job!

The Inaugural MLK Baseball team has been selected; it has been exciting to see our boys on the field this season! A great year for MLK Baseball. We celebrated our team with a luncheon and a visit from the Sounds!

Proof that Reading Pays (in Pizza)! Lucas Allison has reached an incredible milestone of 2,525 minutes read this year. That’s dedication, imagination, and hard work all rolled into one amazing achievement. To celebrate, he received a certificate and a $25 Papa John’s gift card!
