@GingerMartian Buffy was on high alert as they approached the area. She didn’t have a gun, but she did have her stake. It usually held her in good stead and she was sure it would now.

@HeadScooby + the job shortly after Lu had left the site with Buffy's team. They arrived back at their base and, after a brief debrief, they parted ways with a promise to keep in contact should demons ever threaten the country again. // I think this should be the end of this SL.

@GingerMartian She could see them in the jet, a few feet back from the ramp. “They are” she confirmed as they got to the ramp and ran into the jet. The ramp closed and they prepared for takeoff.

@HeadScooby "Are your friends already in?" Lu asked, running up the ramp. But she already saw the other already buckled in. She headed straight for the cockpit, got in the chair, and buckled up.

@GingerMartian Buffy could hear the demons behind them. Their growls were plenty loud. She put on an extra burst of speed in order to catch up with Lu. They were only a few feet from the jet by then.

@HeadScooby Lu ran with Buffy and was starting to outpace the slayer. Being the type of person to see the positive in everything, Lu quipped, "Catch up, slowpoke!" She glanced back and noticed a hoard of demons chasing them.

@GingerMartian The blasts were incredibly loud, and Buffy’s ears were ringing. She knew that if she let that slow her down, they would be done for. She kept running, looking toward Lucy to make sure she was keeping up.

@HeadScooby "Fine," Lu said, taking out two grenades from the lower pocket of her pants. Then she pulled out one of the pins, tossed it, and ran towards Buffy. She tossed the second grenade in another direction. Both went off with a loud bang, sending debris and demons flying in the air.

@GingerMartian //That’s why I was thinking. “We’re not leaving without you, Lu! That’s not what we do.” Her friends were rushing toward the jet. They were almost there. Buffy was focused on fighting off the demons coming toward them.

@HeadScooby She saw Buffy staying behind, so she yelled, "What are you doing? I'm trying to buy you time to get you and your friends out of this place." // I guess have Buffy be strongheaded and say she won't leave without Lu. Lu could concede and follow her.

@GingerMartian — wasn’t about to abandon her after all the help she had given her.

@GingerMartian Buffy prodded Willow forward. Giles and Xander were sprinting toward the jet, and slowed long enough to let her catch up. She didn’t know if any of them could fly a plane or not, but they would have to figure it out. Buffy lingered behind to help Lucy if she needed it. She —

@GingerMartian By then, Buffy was running toward Lucy and the guys. Willow was running toward the QuinJet at Buffy’s insistence. “I’ll get Xander. Run, Giles!” She urged him on.

@HeadScooby She managed to cut the rope off Giles but noticed the demon approaching them. Lu handed the knife to Giles and said, "Lead them to the QuinJet. I'll try to draw them off you."

@GingerMartian Willow was free of her restraints by then. With her hands free, she was able to blast some magic in the demons’ direction. It was meant to disorient them long enough for Buffy to go in for the kill and Buffy was able to take one down.

@HeadScooby + to get the hell out of here. "Stay still," she warned, and started to cut through the ropes.

@GingerMartian Buffy managed to get to Willow and was undoing her restraints when she noticed the demon coming toward them. She doubled her effort to get Willow untied, hoping she would be successful before the demon reached them.

@HeadScooby + Buffy. She spotted Buffy's other friends Giles and Xavier tied up, guarded by two very big demons. "This can be interesting," Lu quipped to no-one in particular.

@GingerMartian “I see her! Giles and Xander are there too!” Buffy began running toward her friends. They were tied up and had been struggling to get free of their bonds. A demon jumped into her path and Buffy took him down, though not without almost getting down herself.

@HeadScooby + imperial gold. Probably overkill since, according to Buffy, normal weapons would work against the demons. But almost all her heavy weapons were aimed at taking out godly creatures.

@GingerMartian Without really thinking about it, Buffy took her stake and plunged it into the demon’s hand. A bloodcurdling scream followed as Buffy yanked the stake out and the demon ran off, cradling his injured hand.

@HeadScooby Lu saw Buffy charging and was impressed. Buffy, like her, was stronger than she looked. Her tiny frame knocked several demons like a bowling ball and was soon by Lu's side. The demon let one of his hand go of Lucy's leg and swiped at Buffy with the free arm.

@GingerMartian Buffy had managed to get free from the demon attacking her. She turned just in time to see Lucy going down. Without hesitation, she changed course and ran towards Lucy. She pushed several demons out of her way, hoping she would get there before any damage was done.

@HeadScooby + creature a hard kick with her right leg, but this was a mistake. The creature grabbed the right leg and pulled her, causing her to fall.

@GingerMartian Buffy dodged bullets and knocked a few demons out of the way. She got hit by one, and nearly fell. She managed to get her bearings long enough stab the demon and run forward. She spotted her friends at the far end of the stone circle and kept moving forward.

@HeadScooby + past her. "Whoa! Didn't your mom teach you not to shoot at a lady?" she quipped while firing her gun in that direction. She heard a thud, which confirmed that her aim was true. "Get your friend out!" she yelled, this time at Buffy. "I'll provide covering fire."

@GingerMartian Buffy listened in mild surprise as Lu let loose with a battle cry that would have sent chills up and down another person’s spine. Buffy was not so easily frightened though. As Lu began firing, Buffy pulled her stake out and stabbed a demon or two who had come running toward them.

@HeadScooby + them from behind. Honor and chivalry only worked in films and movies, not in real life.
