We are so thankful to our volunteer tutors who have spent the last 6 weeks tutoring year 10 pupils in English, maths or science. We have had some absolutely wonderful feedback from pupils and parents and are so grateful for all of your hard work. @TeachFirstNE @bccet

Finishing the week with 50 pupils signed up for our online tutoring,over 40 AMAZING volunteers offering their time and the all important (!) stationery delivery! Head Start tutoring is (almost) ready to go! 💪🏼 Thanks to @TeamUpHub @bccet and @TeachFirstNE for all the support!

It’s been an excellent week for Head Start - exciting talks with @TeamUpHub , speaking with our fabulous volunteers and meeting with school leaders from 5 schools at @bccet about how we can best support their year 10 pupils with our online tutoring programme. 📚💜

Whilst health risk continues school closures, the disadvantage gap continues to widen. We need action to support disadvantaged YP. ~70 orgs of @_TheFEA have written to @gavinwilliamson calling for a #NationalTutoringService. bit.ly/2BPWhlb
