@JamesTCobbler @DavidGauke My inbox shouldn’t be full of requests from parents, partners, probation & prisons themselves for us @ADHD_Liberty to get people diagnosed in prison. You want your prisons empty? Get your mental health teams trained to assess and diagnose ADHD and watch them empty.

@JamesTCobbler @DavidGauke Reoffending is only so high because mental health teams in prisons are mostly not equipped to diagnose the two conditions most people have which is ADHD and ASD. Stop listening to people who are telling you that ADHD screening is happening in Prison as it should be.

The status-quo isn’t working. Prisons are overcrowded and reoffending is too high. @DavidGauke is a shrewd appointment to spear-head this important review of sentencing, which will make sure no government is forced into an emergency release of prisoners ever again. gov.uk/government/new…
