A mother admitted at the Marsabit County Teaching and Referral Hospital Maternity Wing is in critical condition due to severe obstetric hemorrhage & URGENTLY requires a Blood Group O Negative (O−) transfusion to stabilize her condition and prevent further clinical deterioration.

The Department of Health Services will ensure the ambulance is efficiently deployed and well maintained to deliver maximum life-saving impact.

The Department of Health Services, Marsabit County, has launched a fully equipped ambulance donated by the World Health Organization(WHO) to 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗩 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, enhancing emergency and referral services in Sololo Sub-County and the wider border region.

The MoU signing was overseen by MCTRH CEO Mr. Kussu Abduba, alongside members of the hospital’s senior leadership.

The partnership will initially support clinical training for KeMU students pursuing BSc Medical Laboratory Sciences and BSc Nursing, with placements commencing this month.
