@BrianLehrer I am working on an article on food waste. The methane created by food waste in land fills is a leading source of methane.

It's always shocking to me how food manufacturers get away with making bogus and misleading claims on their labels. Please read and enjoy my latest article on food labeling in Edible orange County. Edible Orange County Endless Summer 2021%20 creativebydesign.net/ezines/EdibleO…

@TamarHaspel Romanesco? Although that might be cheating since it's just a fancy green cauliflower. Otherwise, probably asparagus or brussels sprouts.

Best green veg for roasting? I don't like broccoli because the pointy floret bits burn and get bitter.

@nprscottsimon What a great question! Yesterday I saw a sign that said ‘we only serve burgers made from cows who eat grass, like nature intended.’ And I thought: but did nature intend for us to eat the cows?

Can you suggest a favorite talk about GMOs for open-minded laymen? I'm giving a talk to a garden club, and I'm looking for templates. These are just regular Americans - excited by plants but no more knowledgeable about food than average. Any good examples I can steal from?

When my mother died, it became clear that traditional time-honored Jewish mourning practices were out of the question. I needed to forge a new path. What does a zoom shiva even MEAN when you’re the mourner, and can it provide the solace you need? michelejacobsonnutrition.com/zoom-shiva-in-…

Does @TIME still do a person of the year? The only downside I see is this: if it’s Dr. Fauci I’ll be upset it isn’t Andrew Cuomo, and if it’s Governor Cuomo I’ll be so disappointed it isn’t Dr. Fauci. #heros @DrAnthonyF @andrewcuomo

@tejalrao I loved this article and saw many examples of my parents' depression-era habits in it. It has inspired me to grow scallions! I've been eating them daily for their antioxidant, immunity-boosting properties - 140x the phytonutrients of white onions. :)

Wow. The most comprehensive piece I've read (including what I've written) about the alt meat market. Impossible and Beyond burgers are here to stay (but, for sure, I still prefer homemade, whole food burgers). Great article, @rowanjacobsen outsideonline.com/2399736/imposs…

@TheView - Re: #metoo graffiti. At 13 I was in JFK when Bjorn Borg got off a plane and grabbed me and kissed me. A #metoo moment? No, just something cool. Same as the soldier/nurse kiss.

The best hummus is homemade hummus! It’s easy to make, healthier (yes!), and you can adjust the flavorings. This Curried Hummus is sharp and sassy, with an unexpected sweetness from honey… instagram.com/p/BuCQgrxH7sM/…
