Assembly Budget Committee Vice Chair @HeathFloraCA (R-Ripon) says he supports the emergency fire aid bills, BUT he also expresses concerns after Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed AB 2538. It would have allowed @CAL_FIRE to keep on seasonal firefighters longer than just specific seasons of the year. “It is time CalFire is a year-around agency. It is crazy our state fire department is not year-round. It is something we absolutely need to look into,” he said.
