@PottstownMS PRIDE students who participated in our @redcloudkungfu enrichment won 1st and 2nd place at the Battle of Boyertown martial arts tournaments.  Grace got 1st place and Shane got 2nd place. This was their 1st time competing. @JohnJarmato @Center_Schools @PADeptofEd

Last students learned about different personalities, along with their own. They completed an activity called “Pieces of Me” where the students cut out little puzzle pieces and wrote on each piece their strengths and weaknesses and pieced them together @YW3CA @Center_Schools

PRIDE -CTE Engineering students all geared up in protective equipment, working on fundamental welding fabrication: hand position, weaves, and hand speed. Some nice tacks and beads for only 1 hour under the hoods. @JohnJarmato @PottstownMS @pottstownschool @PADeptofEd

This week was the start of our engineering program for @PottstownMS students in 7th and 8th graders in the after school program. Students began this week with welding PPE, scoring and inking metal, as well as grinding and deburring. @JohnJarmato @pottstownschool @PADeptofEd

After six weeks of working on building their soapbox derby car, the after school CTE engineering students got to race this past Saturday, June 18, 2022. This experience and day will be a memory that they will last forever. @JohnJarmato @pottstownschool @PADeptofEd @Center_Schools

This past Saturday the CTE engineering participants and their parents met with Mr. Paul Frisco Assistant Director of the Pottstown Soap Box Derby to learn how to professionally tune up their car for the race. We all highly appreciate everyones teamwork and dedication @JohnJarmato

The CTE participants of the have completed their soapbox derby car and are ready for the Pottstown Soap Box Derby on! A very special thank you to Mr. Bachman for his time and talents with instructing these students, to and to the students for their commitment to their project!

This week our Extended Library participants were able to find activities that they are interested in for self exploration. This was a mixture of everything: finding a great book, working on a puzzle, creating artwork on the Cricut, and building with Lego Kits. @Center_Schools
