Fifth Grade Cubs have been using their math knowledge to come up with two new lunches for our Cafe. They found the items' calories, made sure it was in the limit the National School Lunch Nutrition Standards, calculated the total calories for class and grade level. @canSTEM

Fourth Grade Update: We were so excited to see the total solar eclipse that we wanted to research all of the misconceptions people have about solar eclipses. Fourth grade Cubs researched about eclipses to find evidence to prove that the statements were misconceptions. @canSTEM

First Grade Update: We read the book, "What the Dinosaurs Did Last Night: A Very Messy Adventure" and first grade cubs had to use their knowledge of plot and using details in writing to write an alternate ending to the story. I loved seeing their creativity!! @canSTEM

January Updates: 1st grade designed derby cars out of Rok Blocks. They had to identify the coins that went with each piece of their design and add up the total cost of all of their materials. We then raced them and had a discussion about friction and balanced weight.@canSTEM
