@gcouros You are a very wise. You encourage with your own learning and for me you inspire me to be curious and trust myself. I am loving Forward Together. I don’t want to put it down but at the same time I don’t want to finish it too soon. Thank you 😊

How do you cheer on your friends when they have the success you crave? I watched a student speaker recently, and as incredible as she was, what stood out to me were her friends who hung on every word and gave her a rousing standing ovation as soon as she finished her talk. They were just as impressive as she was in their response to their friend. Do we lose that enthusiasm for our friends and colleagues as we get older? I will admit, I have felt jealousy of those closest to me achieving something I hoped for.
But as I get older, I know their success doesn’t take away from mine.
In fact, sometimes the support of your friends has helped them in some way. Too often, we covet the ideas of people across the world, but ignore and sometimes even downplay the work of those across the hallway. Those students reminded me how much it matters when your friends support you. Cheer on strangers who do great work, but do not forget to elevate those closest to you!

Decolonization doesn’t always require a radical break from the past. Instead, it can be an expansion – an invitation to build upon the wisdom, care, and collective strength that already exists within our communities. Read more from this article here: bcpvpa.insite.com/files/web/83d4…

"When you share your past mistakes, your growth process, and a willingness to learn, it can inspire confidence in others to do the same. Remember: You can’t make people change, but you can create an environment where change is more likely to happen." Listening to the learning partners talk about the schools in the IEII network is inspiring. Some of the key words about the strengths of the school teams involved - authentic, courageous, flexible, tenacious...these schools are on the move. @noiie_bc @kaser_linda

Tonight, the BCPVPA and our members are holding the people of Tumbler Ridge in our thoughts and our hearts in the wake of the tragic acts of violence that shattered that community. We are thinking of those who have been lost, and offer our support to all who have been affected.

"That kind of community doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when school leaders are intentional about inviting others in, sharing ownership, and building a culture rooted in respect and belonging." Dr. Rachel Edoho-Eket, #ForwardTogether Forever Their Teacher - mailchi.mp/georgecouros/f…
