@HeatherRalph In addition to being a misunderstanding, it's also just cobblers. Questions should be provided for EVERYONE in advance, unless they're testing the ability of applicants to do interviews under pressure rather than their long term suitability and qualifications for the job.

This is a fundamental miss- understanding what #dyslexia is The industry needs to change. A lot is happening in the arts atm & it really feels like it is crumbling from the inside. The last year I’ve thought more about leaving this industry then I have about staying.

I was declined access requirements on an invitation to interview today, the theatre cited equality for this, stating it would be unfair to provide the questions in advance to a dyslexic candidate & it is a verbal interview w/ no txt based tasks.

The lack of awareness and understanding when adhering to access requirements for neurodivergent people in the arts is appalling! 🧵
