@ReenaPatel2120 @AdamMeakins Yes.. I agree always room for improvement but it’s important to recognise that much more learning is required after graduating. Exercise and rehab needs to be seen as key advanced practice skills..risk of deconditioning needs to be a key clinical marker. It’s a massive challenge.

@HebberdBethan @AdamMeakins I would agree with you Bethan, we work closely with our HEIs and often physical activity/exercise is threaded through the programmes across all levels, that said there is always room for improvement

@AdamMeakins Ok.. I deal with undergrads and their training is much improved compared to 10 years ago.

@HebberdBethan I didn’t say undergrads, I said many physios! And there are two papers referenced in the article!

@AdamMeakins What data do you have on that? I’m unaware of a study on undergraduates? A lot of the problem is they have taken rehab out of services so they don’t get as much practice. There is data on the lack of rehab services. I am unaware of any courses in that don’t focus on exercise.

@HebberdBethan Regardless of how it is or isnt taught… this still doesn’t change the fact that “many physios feel unprepared to prescribe exercise!” This demonstrates the so called ‘advantageous learning’ isn’t so advantageous!
