None of us reach our full potential alone. We all carry God‑given gifts, and growth happens when those gifts are nurtured and practiced. That’s the heart of LSS Skill Building. Through skilled coaches and therapists, people build practical skills, resilience, and confidence to live healthier, more productive lives and share their talents with others. Grateful for the LSS colleagues who walk alongside clients every day. Learn more: lsswis.org/services/skill… #SkillBuilding #MentalHealth #Counseling #Therapy

Coming out of Easter, I have been reflecting on what it truly means to live out our faith. Not just in what we believe, but in how we show up in the world. I recently spent time with a new friend, and what struck me most was not what we had in common, but how we engaged where we did not. We talked about faith. We talked about politics. We talked about family and the kind of world we are each trying to build. He is Muslim, and I am Christian. Our perspectives are different, and we did not try to resolve those differences. We chose to respect them. There was no need to debate or persuade. We listened with intention. We asked questions with humility. We created space for understanding without requiring agreement. In the middle of that conversation, he shared something that struck me. He came to this country as a refugee and was supported by Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and UP more than twenty years ago! And now, here we are. Two men from different faiths, different backgrounds, different lived experiences, standing in mutual respect. Not because we see the world the same way, but because we chose to see each other first. And when doing this, we found that we agreed more than disagreed with each other, on politics, faith, and family. That is not common right now. But it should be. Easter reminds us that faith is not just something we hold. It is something we live. It calls us to rise above division, to lead with humility, and to choose dignity even when it is difficult. If we want stronger institutions, stronger communities, and a more unified future, it will not be built through agreement alone. It will be built through the discipline of respect and a deep curiosity of getting to know each other. And that is the real test of leadership. Not how we show up when it is easy, but how we show up when it is not. #Leadership #Faith #Respect #Unity #HonorTheChampWithin

As many people step away for spring break to travel, rest, or spend time with family and friends, it’s a good moment to pause and check in with ourselves. Whether you’re on vacation, at home, or somewhere in between, I hope you find small moments to reset and recharge. When we care for ourselves in these ways, we return more grounded, more present, and better able to show up for others. Wishing you a week of rest, reflection, and renewal. #HonorTheChampWithin #MindBodySpirit #SpringBreak Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI

In February, leaders from the TITAN CEO community teamed up with LSS to assemble backpacks and care kits for kids and families facing real challenges. Those backpacks are now reaching children in our communities—providing essential supplies and messages of hope. Thank you to the Titans whose leadership and service are making an impact today. Before the world wakes up… leaders are already at work. There’s something different about the early morning. No noise. No meetings. No expectations from anyone else. Just you… and your standard. This is where discipline is built. This is where clarity is found. This is where leaders separate themselves. Because the truth is—success rarely happens in the spotlight. It’s forged in the quiet: • The early alarm you didn’t want to answer • The workout you didn’t feel like doing • The preparation no one will ever see In boxing, the fight is won long before you step into the ring. Leadership is no different. You don’t prepare when it’s convenient. You prepare because it’s who you are. So while the world sleeps keep building. keep working. keep showing up. Because one day, what you did in the dark will be revealed in the light. #HonorTheChampWithin #Leadership #Discipline #EarlyMorning #Consistency

Recently, we had the privilege of hearing from Nick Khan during our USA Boxing Board meeting. What stood out most was not just his success, but his story. Humble beginnings. A deep respect for the sport. And a genuine willingness to give back. In a world where titles can create distance, it is powerful to see leaders stay grounded in purpose and step forward to support the next generation. Moments like this reinforce the responsibility we carry at the board level to not only govern, but to steward the future of the sport with intention, partnership, and vision. Boxing shaped my life, and I know firsthand what is possible when people invest in athletes as individuals with potential far beyond the ring. As Nick shared, this is a moment for all of us who care about the sport to lean in. I hope his example inspires others to follow suit so together we can build the strongest Team USA this sport has ever seen. That is how we honor the sport. That is how we change lives. Grateful for the leadership, the perspective, and the shared commitment to the future of USA Boxing. Let’s go champ! @USABoxingPrez @USABoxing @Zuffa_Boxing #USABOXING #Leadership #Gratitude #Boxing #HonorTheChampWithin

I’m proud to celebrate my colleague, Emily Klingenberg, whose leadership helped build LSS' Family Centered Treatment program from the ground up and earned her national recognition as "Supervisor of the Year" by the National Family Centered Treatment Foundation, Inc. The lasting impact that Emily and her team is having in Wisconsin is based on the belief that families already have strengths, and the work is finding them and building from there. That is what mission‑driven leadership looks like in action. Congratulations, Emily and the entire @LSSWis FCT team! #FamilyCenteredTreatment #Family #Therapy #SocialServices #Wisconsin

Healthcare doesn’t happen in silos—and neither does impact. When healthcare systems and community‑based organizations work together, we don’t just improve care, we strengthen lives. Join me on 3/26 for "Partnering for Impact", a virtual conversation, hosted by @LutheranSvcs in America, on how cross‑sector partnerships can drive better outcomes in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape. We don’t become who we are on our own. My coach "Shorty" was a Giant in my life. He offered guidance, accountability, and belief when I needed it most. His encouragement helped shape not only who I became in the ring, but who I continue to grow into in life and leadership. I invite you to watch and reflect: Who has been a Giant in your life? #HonorTheChampWithin #ServantLeadership #Mentorship #BoxingRingToBoardroom

Today I want to recognize my napping partner… Lulu. 🐶😴 LOL In a world that moves fast, she made a different decision. She climbed up, got comfortable… and joined me! And truth be told—we were both exhausted. No noise. No pressure. No need to be anywhere else. Just rest… together. And maybe that’s the reminder we all need sometimes: It’s okay to pause. It’s okay to be still. It’s okay to rest without guilt. Because some of the best moments in life aren’t the loud ones, they’re the quiet ones we almost miss. Happy National Puppy Day to the ones who remind us to slow down and just be. #HappyPuppyDay #Rest #Gratitude #HonorTheChampWithin Lutheran Social Services

Success can be a lonely climb… unless you’re intentional about who you bring with you. Last night, I sat at a table with old friends, new friends, and brothers in the journey—each of us having overcome our own set of challenges to be where we are today. Different paths. Different battles. Same mindset: keep going. We laughed. We reflected. We reminded each other of something we don’t always pause to acknowledge—how far we’ve come and how fortunate we are. Behind every smile is a story of resilience. Behind every handshake is a story of sacrifice. Behind every seat at that table is a story of perseverance. In leadership and in life, it’s easy to focus on what’s next. But moments like this ground you. They remind you that success isn’t just measured by outcomes, it’s measured by the people you grow with, the lives you impact, and the gratitude you carry along the way. Grateful for the brotherhood. Grateful for the journey. Grateful for the reminder. Take a moment today—who’s at your table? And are you making the time to appreciate the journey together? #Leadership #Gratitude #Brotherhood #ServantLeadership #HonorTheChampWithin #GrowthMindset

Strong partnerships matter, especially as Medicaid continues to evolve. I’m looking forward to joining colleagues on March 26 for a @LutheranSvcs in America webinar launching the Partnering for Impact Guide. We’ll explore how SSOs, Medicaid agencies, and MCOs can collaborate using data, ROI, and shared strategy to improve outcomes. Stigma around mental health, trauma, and family well‑being still keeps too many people suffering in silence. At @LSSWis, we view mental health care, trauma‑informed support, and family coaching as strengths. These services help individuals and families heal, build resilience, and move forward with dignity and hope. Normalizing support is how we build healthier communities. #MentalHealthMonthMarch #BrainAwarenessWeek #MentalHealth #TraumaInformedCare #FamilyCoaching

This Irish blessing comes to mind today. I am fortunate to walk this mission alongside dedicated colleagues, board members, donors, partners, and volunteers who bring compassion and purpose to our work at @LSSWis. The road we travel is stronger because of the people who walk it together. Feeling lucky, and deeply appreciative of the community that makes this mission possible. ☘️ #StPatricksDay #StrongerTogether #Grateful #SocialServices

Two weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting Titan 100 Community Day at Lutheran Social Services. Before the work commenced, we gathered in a circle, leaders, volunteers, and partners united by a common purpose: to support Lutheran Social Services and the people we serve daily. That moment held immense power. Successful executives and entrepreneurs, all wearing the same red shirt, stood shoulder to shoulder, ready to roll up their sleeves and invest their time in service. The most effective leaders are those who are willing to serve. I am profoundly grateful to the Titan 100 community for their partnership and for choosing to stand alongside Lutheran Social Services in advancing this crucial work. Together, we continue to build stronger lives, stronger families, and stronger communities. Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI TITAN 100 #Titan100 #ServantLeadership #HonorTheChampWithin

Strong partnerships create lasting impact. I want to recognize @Froedtert and the @MedicalCollege of Wisconsin for their investment in LSS #SchoolCenteredMentalHealth, strengthening support for children and families across Milwaukee. By aligning healthcare leadership with community‑based services, we are expanding access to early mental health support where it matters most. Together, we are helping students thrive today and into the future. Learn more: lsswis.org/services/child… #Philanthropy #StrongerTogether #MentalHealth #SCMH

Leadership doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s shaped by the people who influence us and the leaders who walk alongside us. In today’s video, I reflect on the women who have shaped my leadership and the senior women leaders at LSS whose wisdom, discipline, and purpose strengthen our mission every day. #WomensHistoryMonth #ServantLeadership #HonorTheChampWithin

The strength of @LSSWis is reflected in leaders who serve with humility, clarity, and purpose. I’m thankful for the women on our Executive Team: Tara, Michelle, Mara, Melissa, and Heather. Their servant‑leadership drives impact for our clients, supports our colleagues, and advances our mission. Because of their partnership, LSS continues to move forward with integrity, compassion, and strength. #ServantLeadership #WorkplaceOfChoice #WomensHistoryMonth
