Maybe some of you have forgotten. Rashford’s issues didn’t start yesterday. They escalated when Amorim left both him and Garnacho out against City. Garnacho responded by working his way back into the team. Rashford chose a loan to Aston Villa, a club already in the UCL. Instead of staying to help us win the Europa League and fight our way back into Europe, he left. Then the season ended, we finished 15th, and his focus shifted to Barcelona. He wanted the move made permanent, but they turned him down. Now Cunha, Mbeumo, and Sesko have done the hard work to get United back into the UCL, and suddenly Rashford wants back? Ask yourself one question, if United weren’t in the Champions League, would Rashford still want to stay?

Jacob Ben has basically confirmed that Marcus Rashford is going to stay, or at the very least is very likely to stay at Manchester United next season. I told you guys that keeping him, especially with all his qualities, is a no-brainer. He’s still the best left winger at the club and, in my opinion, the best in the Premier League. Shooting, free kicks, pace, penalties, dribbling, crossing, set pieces, he has it all. He tracks back now too. I’d rather bring Rashford back than spend £50m on Summerville or £120m on Barcola. Beckham moved from number 10 to number 7. We might see it next season with Mount taking number 19.

Cunha and Mbeumo were both earning under £100k a week at their previous clubs, yet when they joined United their wages reportedly jumped to over £170k. Now compare that to Tchouaméni. He’s a proven player at Real Madrid, a multiple Champions League winner, and already earns over £200k a week. If he were willing to join United, a salary in the region of £275k–£300k wouldn’t be unreasonable. Casemiro’s £350k a week wages are off the books now, and only Bruno Fernandes is believed to be above that level. If Tchouaméni is genuinely available and wants the move, wages shouldn’t be the stumbling block, United should get him by all means
Nuel06@Nuel006

According to reliable Madrid sources, Aurélien Tchouaméni is available for around €90m (£77m). The 26yr old is Manchester United’s alternative if we fail to sign Mateus Fernandes. Personally, I think United should sign him ahead of Alex Scott, regardless of his 280k wages. He’s a world class player who would bring defensive protection to the team, arguably even better than Casemiro did in his final few seasons at United. The only area where I don’t think he can replace Casemiro is going forward. Casemiro’s attacking contributions, his goals, late runs into the box, and knack for delivering in big moments, would still be difficult to replicate. We might never replace that.

Maresca: I need more players. Carrick to INEOS: These are enough. The difference in ambition is there for everyone to see.

When you really think about it, Mainoo is the only natural central midfielder currently available in the squad. Carrick is going to need more than a miracle to make this team competitive next season, especially if reinforcements don’t arrive soon. And if we keep signing players late in the window, they won’t even get a proper pre season to settle in. That lack of preparation could easily come back to haunt us once the season starts.

I love Ederson, don’t get me wrong, but if Anderson was worth £116m, Matues Fernandes wasn’t worth £85m, and Tonali wasn’t worth £90m to INEOS, then how the hell is a 26-year-old Ederson, with just one year left on his contract, worth €45m to them? More importantly, why haven’t they completed the deal after a month?

Amad admitting his form dropped is something I respect. Too many players hide behind excuses, but he owned it and thanked the manager and his teammates for sticking by him. That level of accountability is exactly what you want to hear from a young player at Manchester United. The biggest line for me is, “Next season I will give my best every time I’m on the pitch.” Talent has never been Amad’s problem, consistency is. If he stays fit, keeps this mentality, and builds on the trust he’s earned, there’s no reason he can’t become one of United’s most important attacking players next season.

🚨🎙️ | Amad: “I'm finding my form. I think in the last three months, my form was a little bit DOWN [at #MUFC]. “But everyone at the club, the manager and the players were THERE for me. “I'm happy to have my form back, next season I will give my BEST every time I'm on the pitch." [@SportyTV]
