It's been a tough year but proud of the team for 2nd place! Entity were such beasts and clearly deserving of 1st place. We will try our best to take our game to the next level for LCQ.

Recently finished the last season of The Expanse. I got into this show without knowing/reading anything about it because I was bored one day. I have a soft spot for sci-fi and it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed it overall. Worth a watch if you have patience.

A bit late but the end of TI is often bittersweet for most teams. I'm trying to focus on the sweet rather than the bitter. We overcame many challenges for which I'm proud of my team. Congrats to the other TS for an incredible run.

There used to be a time when top 4 at a Major was 99% guaranteed TI invite. Now you might win a Major and it may not be enough. Points need to be increased from Majors such that top 2 is mathematically 100%, top 3-4 maybe 90-70% respectively. One of many obv. flaws in curr dpc

@swapniljsoni @EvilGeniuses @PSGLGD_ 1st seed starting in upper bracket playoffs felt weird but as I hinted in the original post, if they are going to do it that way, might as well take advantage of the fact that there are more potential slots in the group stage, add slots, eliminate wild card for scheduling

@Heen1337 What do you have to say when the 3 out of top 4 teams were did not play group stages infact @EvilGeniuses lost more games in one series than the entire tournament whereas @PSGLGD_ played a marathon of games to get Peanuts. Teams like Na'vi are at same DPC as Alliance 🤔

@Noxville yea, I suppose that's an option too. Now that you mention it, most teams prefer to play back-to-back with a break over a delayed match in most situations.

@Heen1337 Most of the teams I've spoken to prefer back-to-back with a ~30 minute break rather than 1 team 100% getting 1st + last.

@Noxville It sucks but at the same time I understand there are scheduling restrictions. Because if it's 1st and 3rd series, the winner of the 2nd series must play 2nd and 3rd series back to back. If if it can be improved, great! If not, then teams have to prepare their stamina.

@Heen1337 what's your take on playing first and 4th series in a day? ;-)

@ImmortalFaithd that is also a good point. I ended up not commenting on it because we didn't experience it first hand (we did sympathize with the teams that had 4 x bo2 days) but I think the maximum number of games a team should play in a single day is 6 (3 x bo2).

one thing i would add is the number of games some teams need to play(25+ games in 3/4 days is insane btw), and the fact that the dpc is 6 weeks and the major is just a few days.

@Herppis I'm guessing Valve don't want to do anything that doesn't keep the scheduling of regional qualifiers consistent as the # of games in same format of single group round robin bo2 would increase exponentially for every team added

@Heen1337 Have you thought about non relegation from the upper bracket so we would only add 2 teams to the upper div from lower div but keep the relegation rules same in lower so we would also see 4 teams from open every season

@mrsargoth Hard to say. We might've done better if we had more 'warmup' games. We also might've done poorly in groupstages because we were not in the best form. Just a lot of what ifs really. We just play the system we're dealt.

@LPerigolo @teamsecret because it's given to them instead of being played for. You might have been close to staying in the upper division and be quite a bit better than any of the lower division teams but it's just a straight swap.
