@mpicardi Lack of velo, and the combination of his arm angle and lack of extension, will always prohibit Max fastball from being a plus pitch. Still has bad data against, .386 xWOBA, .529 xSLUG. Not really his fault, he is a natural supinator, 4s wont play.

Max's 4S FB had at least 3 inches more vertical than usual last night. Plus he was commanding it well. The changeup also played pretty well, and of course the breaking balls were demons too. Not making any declarations, but this version of Max is a rotation mainstay.
