That was the most emotional speech I’ve ever given. It was an honour to host the first ever debate on this issue in our Parliament. I’m thrilled that the Government has listened to my call to do more to tackle #birthtrauma.

Important read for those working in MH. “Trauma-informed care should not be static…it should look different for each individual”. “Trauma-Informed Care” Left Me More Traumatised Than Ever psychiatryisdrivingmemad.co.uk/post/trauma-in…

This is a survey myself & @MarkWilliamsFMH have put together, the data provided will help us compile a report of father's and partner's experiences during the perinatal period. Only takes a few minutes to complete. Thanks Scott & Mark forms.gle/zcPZdVx6j9rKLG…

Really liked seeing this, a family is a family it’s a simple as that, we need to support all parents. Times have changed and we now have access particularly to fathers we haven’t had before.. no excuses anymore, supported parents are more equipped to support children!!..simple.

For Infant Mental Health including Dads and Partners in NICE CG192 is vital and imagine what the impact would be if we routinely ask #Howareyoudad in Maternity? Let’s think about making perinatal mental health truly family inclusive @MarkWilliamsFMH @MMHAlliance @WHO @PMHMidwives

When we think about perinatal mental health, the focus is on mum's. But what about dads ? Andrew, my friend and colleague is leading the way with supporting dad's through a lonely and difficult time while their partner receives treatment. @ribblemere #MentalHealthAwareness

Perinatal mental health can impact the whole family. We also support partners of those who have given birth through our Partner Pathway. Andrew hosts our partner support group and we can refer to further mental health services. #IveBeenThere #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

This year's #WorldMMHDay theme is 'Stronger together' which truly resonates with us. Over a decade ago, our founders Dr Alain Gregoire and Emily Slater recognised the power of clinical and lived expertise coming together to influence change; the MMHA was born. #MaternalMHmatters
