Old friend Casey Mittelstadt burns #Sabres. Puck off the end boards, he beats Dahlin -- his old housemate -- to it and it's tied at 3-3 with exactly six minutes left. Woof.

@ByMHarrington It was not pretty after the 1st. Tuch was missed, Benson poor, new D not good, UPL actually good, PP nope. Winning goal was a mess…not sure why Power does not turn around and cover Chychrun. Wake up call.

And the #Caps, who did nothing in the first period, end #Sabres eight-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory. Lots of pride in that room over the final 40 minutes.

@ByMHarrington Dahlin is my favorite player. He is great, but he did a little cross check that set Hagel off. I like a little Kenny Linseman ‘the rat’ in him. He should not fight, hell he is the best player. I wonder what he chirps!
