I played my first golf competition on the hottest day of the year, so far -keeping going, in itself, deserved a prize!

It makes sense to reduce 40mph speed limit (to 30) on Abingdon's Northern ring road. This'll improve the quality of life for many residents living directly off this road - after all we have had a 30mph speed limit through sparsely populated villages on main roads for many years.

Today we enjoyed walking from Nailsworth, on a variety of paths including walking past Gatcombe Park Estate

Most of us hope for a fresh start under a new Prime Minister. Those calling for the addition of Boris Johnson to the ballot papers sent to current members should note that many discontinued Conservative party membership because of the Johnson leadership

Excellent doubles win for @joesalisbury92 and @RajeevRam yesterday at @Wimbledon - here's hoping @HeatherWatson92 and @harriet_dart are successful Today. It's good to see more British pairs doing well in the doubles.

Excellent tennis, poor sportsmanship from @steftsitsipas complaining of bullying. I've seen such tactics in many competitive games when players try very hard.

Abingdon residents gathered in the market Square this afternoon to celebrate the #PlatinumJubilee.. The Mayor, MP and other invited guests threw buns from the roof of @AbingdonMuseum for people to catch.. A very popular event!

When Highways Agency plans noisy work in residential areas, I would expect notification from them or the Council- this week they were drilling outside my back garden, in North Abingdon without any warning or apology! Thankfully I found tranquility at the Belfry the day after.
