Nigel Farage is the epitome of the establishment. He makes millions at the expense of the poorest, while blaming the most vulnerable to protect his wealth and power. We cannot afford a society that feeds the expensive ego of Nigel Farage. Clacton deserves better.

@BBCPolitics Thanks Alison Hume for being the only voice of reason mid ranters. Where was the outcry when Tories swapped leaders? All this talk of 'Ooh, no democracy, we want a General Election' NO! We cannot continue to think in such short-termism. If a rethink's needed, it's Brexit.

@GMJuditPolgar @Schwarzenegger Well, he continues to go up in my esteem. Strangely enough, for precisely all the reasons some people seem to find fault with him. He seems eminently sensible and unaffected by his stardom, retaining his humanity. That's an admirable thing.

WHAT A DAY‼ It was a great pleasure to meet Arnold @Schwarzenegger , the one and only Terminator!🤗💪 His passion for chess amazed me as much as his cheerful, charismatic, and kind personality. I showed him some of my favorite chess compositions, which he was amazed by! He is playing chess to keep his brain sharp and young!👨‍👦 Hasta la vista, Arnold! 😉🖐 #ChessConnectsUs #chess #passion #justplaychess

Not the warmest of days, still, great to be sat in my garden with a cuppa watching the Little Egrets mooch about the cattle. I know it's not very rock n roll I, but I like it, like it like it yes I do. Happy sabbath ❤️

@AbiluTangwa We little people really do try; recycle, reduce, fly nowhere, minimise unecessary waste. But we need the big boys to make major changes. I pray they'll wake up.

Now remind me what was all that bonus ban nonsense all about?
Novara Media@novaramedia

A former water company boss has been handed a £270k bonus despite a parasite outbreak that sickened more than 140 people and caused a public health scandal. Susan Davy stepped down as chief executive of Pennon, the group that owns South West Water, last year. She received the six-figure sum despite the board initially deciding to withhold the bonus following a public outcry. South West Water pumped drinking water to thousands of homes in Devon containing cryptosporidium, a microscopic parasite that causes a highly infectious gastrointestinal illness. The outbreak in May 2024 impacted approximately 17,000 homes and lasted more than 50 days. The parasite left four people requiring hospital treatment and caused more than 140 confirmed cases of sickness and diarrhoea. South West Water was fined a record £1.8m after pleading guilty to supplying water unfit for human consumption, following a prosecution brought by the Drinking Water Inspectorate. The company offered a “full and unreserved apology”. Former environment secretary Steve Reed introduced legislation in February 2025 to prevent water companies paying out bonuses to executives if they fail to meet strict environmental and consumer standards. However, Davy’s payouts were reinstated after guidance from regulator Ofwat over how the new rules would be applied. Davy, who claimed the parasite outbreak caused her “sleepless nights”, received a £270,000 bonus for 2024-25 and an £87,000 bonus for 2025-26, The Telegraph reported. That was in addition to a base salary and benefits of £561,000 for 2024-25, and £473,000 for the nine months of 2025-26 before she left the company. With pensions and share allocations, Davy earned more than £1m in 2024-25. Allies of Andy Burnham, who is widely believed to be the next prime minister-in-waiting, have said the new MP for Makerfield wants to bring ‘the essentials of life’ – including water – back into public control. More than four in five Brits support nationalising the country’s water companies, YouGov polling from earlier this month revealed.

@piersmorgan I don't think "wanted power' I think he wanted to make a difference. He's a decent man, but maybe not suited to what is a very difficult job. Doesn't help of course when Express and Mail want to belittle and bring you down. Sadly, people believe them.

BREAKING: Keir Starmer cries as he resigns as UK Prime Minister. Sad end to a dismal tenure. Never seen such a big election win end in such abject failure so fast. Bottom line: he wanted power but didn’t know how to lead the country. He was the ultimate man without a plan.
