At the moment there are restrictions on visiting at the neonatal unit, which means that siblings aren’t spending time with their new baby brother or sister. To explain things to the siblings Ruth, the nnu’s counsellor, asked that we add these helpful books to our Amazon Wishlist

This week is #NationalStorytellingWeek We include a Mr. Men/Little Miss book in with the welcome bag for every baby’s family so that they have a story to read to their baby from the very beginning. We also give story books to babies on important dates during the year

@Jamesmapendo Waiting times at the Border have on occasion been unacceptable and we have called on the UK Government to address the problem as a matter of urgency. Priority lines are in place for special assistance, elderly and families with young children. Thank you. (3/3)

#mothersday Presents for each of our neonatal unit mummies for Mother’s Day tomorrow. Gorgeous donated gifts. Beautiful hand crafted cards made by the neonatal nursery nurses on behalf of the babies (who can’t quite grip crayons or glue yet 💜) #tooting #stgeorgeshospital

Reading to babies is very beneficial to them. We include a reading book in every Journey Box given to each baby arriving at the Intensive Care and High Dependency Nurseries. To ensure all families are catered for we’ve added some books in other languages to our Amazon Wishlist

Yes, Brexit means govt can change rules & regs. So can the EU. But being able to choose different regs is not the same as wanting lower standards. Govt has been explicit that while we may do things differently, our standards will stay the same, or higher bbc.com/news/science-e…
