@SupportersNufc I have resolved that I will support the club’s decisions. Eddie has been questionable this season, but I want to see him succeed.

I haven’t been doing at all well mentally since the start of the year so i finally decided to do something about it and went into the Arsenal hub after the match yesterday to talk to a professional. It was really helpful and they’ve put a plan in place for my recovery 🤍

🇫🇷 Former Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin has opened up about his time on Tyneside, suggesting that tactical limitations prevented him from reaching his full potential in the Premier League. The French forward, now thriving at RC Lens, explained how different managerial approaches restricted his playstyle during his four-year spell at St James' Park. "Here, compared to what's asked of me at Lens, it's not the same way of playing at all, the instructions are completely different, and I really try to adapt to what the coach asks of me... I'm a team player, even if sometimes people prioritise dribbling and think that's all I think about." The 29-year-old is currently enjoying a resurgence in a central role at Ligue 1 side RC Lens, where he has registered two goals and three assists in eight league appearances. Speaking to French outlet Lensois, Saint-Maximin revealed that in matches against deep-lying defences at Newcastle, he was often asked to drop deep and dribble past everyone rather than playing a cohesive team game. The former Toon cult hero pushed back on the perception that he is solely an individualist, emphasising that he has always been a team player when given the right instructions. During his time at Newcastle, Saint-Maximin was a rare beacon of hope during the latter stages of Mike cA$hley’s ownership. However, fitness struggles and tactical shifts saw him become a bit-part player under Eddie Howe before eventually departing for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli. Reflecting on those tactical restrictions, Saint-Maximin explained that facing deep-lying defences was quite complicated, which led coaches to instruct him to start from deep and attempt to beat multiple players on his own. In contrast to his time on Tyneside, the Frenchman believes the tactical instructions he is receiving at Lens allow him to play a much more balanced and team-oriented role. He noted that his current instructions are completely different and that he is always focused on doing exactly what the game and the coach ask of him to help his team win. Do you think Newcastle United's tactical setup held Allan Saint-Maximin back during his time at St James' Park? 🤔 #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL

@HelloBenWhite I think you are overcomplicating it just for the sake of an argument there. If you think a post asking for positivity is 'neggy,' you’ve almost proven the point of me saying people will find problems with anything pushing positivity. Literally couldn’t be more what I’m saying

There’s a specific brand of misery on #NUFC twitter where even winning isn’t enough. We have spent weeks complaining about not winning and now we’ve won, we’re complaining about how we won. Is anyone actually having fun? We stopped the rot, end of, enjoy it! Positivity Vacuums

@SupportersNufc He’s in contract till 2031. I do t see us taking the same kind of loss on him as we will for Wissa. This all seems like pretty baseless clickbait bait fodder to me.

My thoughts on Newcastle United striker situation next season: Give Yoane Wissa a full pre-season and another chance. Start Nick Woltemade more as a striker. Try William Osula on the right — pace + ability to cut inside could be dangerous. And bring in another striker for competition. 👀 #NUFC

If he really is staying then he needs to change his style away from 433 and Athletes and I expect a trophy next season as we are down to 1 game a week. it's the wrong decision by the club in my opinion as I can't see Eddie changing he's going to double down on his style.

🚨 Eddie Howe set to remain Newcastle United boss. As things stand + barring unexpected turn of events 48yo will lead #NUFC into 26/27 - retains ownership/hierarchy support & keen to continue. All parties accept this season can’t be repeated @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/72368…
